CARBON FOOTPRINT

Carbon footprint is the way of measuring of carbon dioxide which is created by human activities on the world. We can calculate the amount of carbon which we release very day.

There are some web sites where we can know and take the average from both sites, http://footprint.wwf.org.uk/k/ and http://www.myfootprint.org/ . From the first web site I got about 4.49 the compilations were in four categories, which are home stuffs, travel, and food. In the second site I got 7.16. The compilations were about the home and your family, then about what should you do to save the energy, and about your food. The average was about 5.6; if anyone else also has average like me that mean we need five planets and a half to live, which is impossible.

In my class some students got higher than me and some of them less than me. The highest average was around 9.17 and the lowest average was 3.53. I think UAE is one of the highest countries which has the hightes carbon footprint per parson.

There are some humans who think the carbon footprint is not very serious problem. However, it’s a serious problem; if carbons increases it helps to increase house green gases. The result is global warming will be increase more and more. So we have to do something to save our world and the energy by reducing our carbon footprint especially in the UAE. The one possible way of reducing carbon footprint is to change the degree of the AC and make it few degrees back, or turn it off if we are leave that place. Also, you can save the energy by reduced use of light bulbs. So you will reduce your footprint and your money also.
